Radio Shack DX-394 Performance Upgrades Filter Upgrade The filter upgrade consists of a 6.5 kHz wideband (AM) filter which we call our Kiwa "Blue Dot" filter. The stock filter filter typically measures 9kHz or more. Detailed step-by-step installation instructions are included. Installation requires de-soldering and soldering. The installation is not difficult, but of course, some soldering experience is required. We do offer factory installation if you do not feel comfortable performing the installation. Installation is $35. Please note that Kiwa does not offer a filter replacement for the SSB/CW mode for this receiver.
