The tiered model from Level 0 to Level 4

The Performance Ladder Circular uses a tiered model that maps your progress toward a circular economy. You don't immediately rise to the highest level, but can develop further year after year.

Level 0 (Entry): Basic commitment and initial measures for circular economy are in place.

Level 1 (Development): A documented management system and action plan are in place.

Level 2 (Implementation): Resources are provided and employees are trained accordingly.

Level 3 (Integration): The PDCA cycle is established and the supply chain is included.

Level 4 (Excellence): The system is fully integrated and continuous improvement is demonstrated.
