What Tests Does Kiwa Primara Perform?

Testing of Electrical Safety of Charging Systems and Wallboxes

Kiwa Primara tests and certifies AC charging systems, checking the general condition of the charging station as well as operational behavior and functionality. In addition, we also test and certify DC fast-charging stations.

We test and certify according to international standards!

  • IEC 61851-1, IEC 61851-23

Functional safety testing:

Functional Safety (FuSi) aims to reduce risks posed by the operation of a technical, safety-relevant system to an acceptable minimum. In particular, it is intended to prevent hazards arising from malfunctions of electrical (E), electronic (E), and programmable electronic (PE) systems.

We test and certify according to international standards!

  • IEC 61508, ISO 26262

Environmental Requirement Testing

Climate simulations, IP/IK tests, salt spray corrosion tests, aging, etc.
Charging systems are often exposed to extreme environmental conditions. Environmental simulation testing of components identifies design weaknesses already at the development stage, helping to avoid costly redesigns and failures in the field.

We test and certify according to international standards!

  • IEC 60068-2-xx, IEC 60529, EN 60695-2-11/-12/-13, EN 60255-x, ISO 6270, ISO 9227, etc.
