The one-day training ATEX Repair and assembly is an interactive mix of theory, practical cases and assignments, tailored to the daily professional practice of the participants. During the training, explanations and demos will be alternated with exercises, in which working practice setups will be used. During the day, participants can apply what they have learned in practice by connecting Ex equipment to some test panels.
ATEXcertificaat.nl’s training ATEX Repair and assembly is intended for electro-technical employees who perform repair and assembly work on Ex equipment. Participants in this training must have followed the e-learning ATEX Awareness beforehand and have successfully completed ATEX E-Inspection and maintenance training.
Learning goals
After following the training ATEX Repair and assembly, participants can carry out repair and assembly work in accordance with the European ATEX 114 directive and the Dutch standards NEN-EN-IEC60079-14 and NEN-EN-IEC60079-19. The training is concluded with a final test. Participants who complete it successfully will receive a certificate that is valid for three years.
Content training
The training ATEX Repair and assembly is built around the following topics:
- General principles and legislation and regulations for repair facilities;
- Additional requirements for the repair and overhaul of the material protection method:
- pressure-resistant (d);
- intrinsic safety (i);
- internal overpressure (p);
- increased safety (e) and;
- not sparking (s). - Additional requirements for the repair and overhaul of equipment that falls under IEC 60079-26;
- Additional requirements for the repair and overhaul of equipment with protection type group III 't' (dustproof) and 'pD' (internal overpressure);
- Identification of repaired equipment by means of markings;
- Requirements for measurements on compression-resistant material during overhaul, repair and renovation;
- Practice: swivel choices, cutting cables, feeding and connecting.
