About the BDA Watertightness Tester

A test specimen is submitted to a specified water pressure, e.g. 60 kPa, for a certain period, mostly 24 hours, against a disk containing four slots of specified form and dimensions. The test specimen is observed to establish whether it remains watertight.

The approximate dimensions are (l x w x h) = 0,8 m x 0,3 m x 0,4 m. The equipment stands on a table and shall be accessible from at least one direction. The weight of the BDA Watertightness Tester, type S, is approximately 30 kg.
