Course introduction
This one-day course is for heating and plumbing installers who need to gain the knowledge of the Water Regulations (1999) before applying to join their local water authorities 'Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme', one of the plumbing competent person schemes (CPS) or Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) registration bodies.
These qualifications prepare you for complying with water conservation regulations and building regulations. Unless you self-certify, or have a building control inspection, you are not legally allowed to install a pressurised water vessel.

Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements to attend the course however a recognised competence in a conventional fuel, e.g. gas, oil, or solid fuel or a relevant plumbing qualification such as an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience, is recommended.
Legionella training
This course is aimed at those wishing to gain a qualification in water treatment, system design and disinfection in domestic, small commercial properties and spa pools.
Unvented Hot Water Systems training
This unvented course is suitable for engineers who want to work on unvented hot water systems only or who are looking to renew their unvented qualification.
Unvented Hot Water Systems with Water Regulations training
This course leads to certification by Cert-ain and will enable registration with a competent person scheme and self-certification of installations.
