OEM's outside of the UK and product importers
The UK Government has now clarified its advice regarding UKCA for gas appliances and Kiwa Ltd is now happy to receive enquiries for any gas products currently CE marked under the GAR. We have significant discretion regarding the need to re-test existing CE marked appliances, and will determine this on a risk assessment basis, assuming we are contracted to carry out the necessary factory production control. Limited witnessed tests at your facilities may suffice.
We are also pleased to offer a full UKCA and CE (via our Kiwa colleagues in Kiwa Netherlands and Kiwa Italy) service for new products, especially those burning up to 20% hydrogen or 100% hydrogen.
Unfortunately, as of the 8th March 2021, the situation regarding the testing of solid fuel stoves remains complex, but we remain in close contact with the appropriate government officials and can update you as to the latest position.
