Kiwa now offers SMETA audits in Europe

Kiwa can from now on perform SMETA audits in Europe. An agreement was signed for this on 17 October between Kiwa Deutschland GmbH and her authorized partner to provide Sedex assessments. By offering these audits, Kiwa has expanded its portfolio of certification services within the Food Feed Farm industry. SMETA, the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit, is part of the Sedex Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI).

Social audits are in high demand from the European market. As independent third-party auditor we now can help our clients in Europe on their way to SMETA certification.

SMETA, founded by the Sedex Stakeholder Forum, is one of the most widely used ethical audit formats in the world. It is a collection of good practices on ethical auditing techniques covering all aspects of responsible business. The standard makes it easier for suppliers to share reports and implement improvements in supply chain labour standards.
