BRL K17105 published binding
With effect from April 21, 2023, an amendment sheet to BRL K17105 “Plastic polyethylene pipe systems for the transport of drinking water and raw water” has been released.
With this amendment sheet, the following parts in the BRL have been changed:
- Changes due to new Kiwa BRL template;
- Requirements for PVC-U fittings are added;
- Requirements for metal fittings are adjusted;
- Requirements for PVC-U saddles are added;
- Titles of standards is updated;
- New model certificate.
Validity
The product certificates issued based on BRL K17105:2017 do not lose their validity.

Evaluation guideline changes
An evaluation guideline or ‘Beoordelingsrichtlijn’ (BRL) is a package of requirements that a product or service can meet to demonstrate a certain guarantee of quality and legality. Kiwa offers BRLs in various subject areas. The requirements in a BRL are drawn up by an independent Board of Experts. A product or service is assessed by Kiwa on the basis of those requirements. When we introduce a new BRL or when a BRL changes, we will publish these BRL's.
