BRL-K580/02 Thermoplastic non-stationary and mobile storage- and dispensing installations

Thermoplastic (polyethylene (PE)) non-stationary and mobile storage- and dispensing installations are used for temporary storage. The stored liquids are diesel fuels, domestic heating oils, waste oils and lubricants. These liquids are covered by PGS class 3 and 4.

This Evaluation Guideline pertains to the production of thermoplastic non-stationary and mobile storage- and dispensing installations with an integrated steel spill container for a maximum volume of 3 m³.

This Evaluation Guideline has been accepted at 20 November 2020 and replaces BRL-K580/01 dated 8 February 1999. 

For whom?

Evaluation Guideline BRL-K580/02 is intended for suppliers/producers of thermoplastic mobile storage and dispensing installations made from moulded polyethylene (PE), with an integrated steel spill container.

When is it necessary?

Supplying/producing non-stationary and mobile storage and dispensing installations/tank containers under the product certificate BRL-K580/02 give users, but also the competent authority, the confidence that the non-stationary storage and dispensing installations are produced under a quality assurance system audited by Kiwa. Moreover, its safe use is indicated and the compliance of laws and regulations is transparent.

In order to comply with the PGS 30 Annex D "Temporary non-stationary storage and dispensing installations", a non-stationary storage and dispensing installations must be manufactured according to BRL-K580.
