As a electrical test engineer / project leader at Kiwa, you’ll have a unique opportunity to be involved in the latest technologies in the field of electrical and gas products on a daily basis. The main focus lies on household and similar electrical appliances (EN 60335), HVAC and cooking & catering products. You’ll be testing these products according to a range of regimes in order to determine whether they comply to electrical safety standards. Only then will our customers be allowed to market these products. You’ll be an indismissable link in this chain towards international market access.
Within all of your challenging and diverse projects, you’ll be our customers’ point of contact. As time to market should be as brief as possible and Kiwa’s commercial interests should always be top of mind, it will be your responsibility that testing procedures will always be efficient and effective.
Your responsibilities
- Managing projects related to testing;
- Setting up testing programs and preliminary calculations for offers;
- Supporting and guiding colleagues within complex projects;
- Performing electrical safety tests for new products;
- Checking, interpreting and reporting measurement data;
- Discussing testing results with customers;
- Keeping your own knowledge up to date related to regulations and applicable standards;
- Interpreting requirements and measuring regimes, and improving related documentation if needed.

What background you need
For this position, we are looking for several colleagues with both mbo- (level 4) and hbo- graduates. With work experience and/or background in measurement and control technology, electrical engineering, electronics, ICT or related.
- You know about and are experienced in testing electrical and/or electronic products;
- You are (nearly) fluent in speaking English and willing to learn Dutch.
