Wim van Loon Appointed as the New Managing Director of Kiwa Nederland

As of January 6, 2025, Wim van Loon will be appointed Managing Director of Kiwa Nederland. Kiwa operates globally in the TIC sector (Testing, Inspection, and Certification), with Kiwa Nederland being one of the group’s largest entities. Van Loon (58) has held senior leadership roles throughout his career in the TIC industry. In his new role, Wim Van Loon will report directly to Nicolas Kyndt, COO EMEA and member of Kiwa's Management Board.

Wim van Loon brings extensive experience in the TIC sector. In his previous role as Executive Vice President, he led the international industrial activities of the global TIC company SGS for six years. Subsequently, he served as COO, overseeing operations in Northern and Central Europe. In this capacity, he managed several successful post-acquisition integrations. Before 2018, Van Loon served for many years as Managing Director of SGS in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Wim succeeds Jan Pieter Bijkerk and Ron Scheepers, who successfully led Kiwa Nederland in recent years. Jan Pieter Bijkerk will join the EMEA Management Team, where he will facilitate the strategic development agenda for Europe. In addition, Ron Scheepers will expand his responsibilities as Managing Director for Central and Southern Europe, focusing on driving growth ambitions in these regions.
