Most energy using products have to comply with European regulations and directives like Low Voltage Directive (LVD), Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC-D), Machinery Directive, GAS Appliance Regulation (GAR), Construction Products Regulation (CPR), Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and ATEX.
Kiwa is fully notified and accredited to test and certify your products for the European market. Besides testing for Certification purposes, Kiwa offers their extended and state of the art laboratory facilities for a wide range of on-demand testing (R&D supportive tests, feasibility tests, endurance, benchmarking, etc.) Tests can be done at complete systems, products and materials.
Please note the (recent) legislation changes that have affected many manufacturers of gas appliances: New G+ Dutch Gas (in force from 1st January 2017) and the new Gas Appliance Regulation (GAR) in April 2018. Depending on the technology (e.g. used pressure) and application (e.g. industrial or domestic) the above mentioned directives are applicable. Only when all directives that apply to a certain product or system are met, the manufacturer is allowed (and obliged) to have its products legally CE marked.
Kiwa is the right partner to test and certify conformity of your products to the relevant European Regulations, Directives and standards (for the GAR, Kiwa is absolute market leader throughout Europe). In close cooperation with the manufacturer a tailor-made approach will be applied to get your product(s) safe and approved.
Furthermore, we can assist in meeting local/national requirements regarding electrical grid connection, emissions, etc. Thanks to several connections and partnerships with other well-known test and certification bodies we can also provide some of their quality labels. Kiwa assures you the shortest time against the lowest costs compared to the market. We will be happy to provide you with any more information you might need, so please contact us!
