In order to increase knowledge in Europe about hydrogen and fuel cells, a number of e-learnings is developed in the context of an EU-funded project. In the CHP Installations with Fuel Cells e-learning, you will learn everything about the application of hydrogen in installations for the cogeneration of heat and power.
Cogeneration of heat and power has been used for many years to generate heat and electricity locally, with a high overall yield. Because ‘normal’ CHP installations make use of a combustion engine which is responsible for noise and emissions, a CHP installation with a fuel cell may offer a solution. Compact CHP installations with fuel cells are nearly within reach for household applications as well (privately generated power and heat).
In order to increase knowledge in Europe about hydrogen and fuel cells, a number of e-learnings is developed in the context of an EU-funded project. In the Netherlands, these modules are offered by Kiwa Training (in Dutch or in English). In addition to this module, they are the core module Introduction to Fuel Cells and Hydrogen and the modules Fuel Cells for Transport Applications, Hydrogen: Production and Treatment, Generators Based on Fuel Cells and Micro Fuel Cells.
In the CHP Installations with Fuel Cells e-learning the following topics are addressed:
This module is developed in view of participants with a technical MBO education (intermediate vocational education) and some knowledge of chemical processes and electricity. The participant must have previously done the Introduction to Fuel Cells and Hydrogen core module, or have mastered the basic knowledge taught in this course in a different manner.
You can do the e-learning in your own time and at your own pace. The study load for each module is 40 to 60 hours.
