Portable and Wheeled Fire Extinguishers

Portable and wheeled fire extinguishers are an important part of active fire protection. Experience shows that fires do not always break out near the location where a fire extinguisher is stored. This makes it all the more important — especially for trained fire wardens — to rely on a certain level of mobility.

This is exactly where portable and wheeled fire extinguishers come into play. Even though they are comparatively small firefighting devices, they should, of course, be regularly tested to ensure proper functionality.

Our experts will advise you on upcoming inspection intervals and show you how to further optimize this area of active fire protection.

Fire Extinguishing Sprays

Although fire extinguishing sprays cannot replace a fire extinguisher, they are often an effective means of optimizing active fire protection. The purpose of these sprays is to extinguish incipient fires at an early stage and thereby prevent a larger fire from spreading.

Typical examples include a burning waste bin or an Advent wreath catching fire.

In any case, ensure that your fire extinguishing sprays are always ready for use, even though they may appear to be only “small helpers.” Regular inspections of extinguisher spray cans and related products help ensure that the expectations placed on this area of active fire protection are fully met.

Other Fire Extinguishing Equipment

In addition to portable and wheeled fire extinguishers and fire extinguishing sprays, there are other types of firefighting equipment that must undergo regular testing. Our team will be happy to assist you in this area.

For example, we carry out suitability tests for fire extinguishers used to combat smoldering lignite dust fires. These tests are based on the LG-01 standard. On this basis, we determine precisely whether the fire extinguishing equipment used in your environment is capable of fully meeting legal requirements.

We also advise you on the necessary inspection intervals relating to active fire protection and show you how safety in your company can be further optimized with regard to fire protection and fire extinguishing equipment.
