Tests According to Military Standard
MIL-STD-810 is a U.S. military standard that defines procedures for environmental testing. Its goal is to assess the resistance of products under the environmental conditions they are actually exposed to during their life cycle – e.g., temperature variations, vibrations, humidity, dust, low pressure, and more.
Originally developed for military equipment, the standard is now also applied in civilian sectors – such as drones, industrial electronics, vehicle components, or outdoor products.

What is the Purpose of MIL-STD-810?
The standard is not intended to set fixed limits or universal test conditions.
Instead, it provides a flexible framework that:
- Defines environmental stresses (e.g., vibration, heat, humidity) in the product life cycle
- Enables tailored test criteria – individually adapted to the product and its application
- Evaluates product performance under environmental stress
- Identifies defects and weaknesses in design, materials, or manufacturing processes
- Documents compliance with contractual requirements
Our testing spectrum includes a variety of environmental tests in accordance with MIL-STD-810, including the following testing methods, which can also be combined with each other depending on the requirements:
|
Test Method |
Test Procedure |
| 500,6 | Low pressure |
| 501,7 | HIgh Temperature |
| 502,7 | Low Temperature |
| 503,7 | Temperatur Shock |
| 507,6 | Humidity |
| 509,7 | Salt Fog |
| 511,7 | Explosive Atmosphere |
| 512,6 | Immersion |
| 513,8 | Acceleration |
| 514,8 | Vibration |
| 516,8 | Shock |
