Kiwa expands millimetre wave testing capability
The KEC Radio Test Lab has taken delivery of new millimetre wave mixers from Rohde and Schwarz, complementing our latest ESW receiver with integrated mixer option.
These mixers are designed for advanced test and measurement applications, featuring calibrated conversion loss factors and further strengthening our existing accredited millimetre wave capabilities across the 90–140 GHz and 140–220 GHz ranges.
We’re proud to be one of only two UK based labs to offer this type of radio testing capability up to 200 GHz, reinforcing Kiwa’s position at the forefront of high-frequency testing innovation.
This enhanced capability enables us to continue supporting our clients with accredited millimetre wave radio testing to a wide range of international standards, including:
- EU: EN 303 550, EN 302 567
- FCC: Part 15.255
- ISED: RSS-210 Issue 11
These standards cover applications such as Short Range Devices, radar technologies (including FMCW and PCR), field disturbance sensors, point-to-point links, and more.
