What is Automotive & VCA Type Approval?
Automotive Type Approval verifies that electronic sub-assemblies (ESAs) meet regulatory requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and safety before sale. In the UK, approvals are granted by the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA). For UNECE Regulation No. 10 (Reg 10), compliant ESAs can be E-marked, enabling legal market placement across many regions that recognise ECE regulations.

FAQs
Which regulations apply to my ESA?
We map your product to UNECE Reg 10 and any additional OEM or regional requirements during pre-assessment, then build a test plan accordingly.
Do you handle VCA approvals?
Yes. We prepare the application pack, submit to VCA, and manage technical queries through to approval and E-marking guidance.
Can you combine automotive testing with EMC, Radio and Safety?
Yes. Combining programmes reduces time and cost and ensures consistent evidence across directives and schemes.
