Your Kiwa KOMO certification
BRL 2022 is a certification scheme for mechanical saddles made of PVC‑U, PP and PE, designed to connect drainage pipes with riser pipes to the main sewer system. This applies to riser pipes with a nominal outer diameter of 125 mm or 160 mm.
Certification is only granted when strict requirements are met. These include:
- Incoming inspection of raw materials
- Quality controls during production
- Verification of the final product
If your production facility is ISO 9001 certified, Kiwa can reduce the number of inspection visits by two per year.
Initial assessment
Once you accept our quotation, we proceed with the initial assessment. During this phase, we determine whether your product complies with the requirements for obtaining the KOMO product certificate.
The assessment includes:
- A company audit
- Prescribed laboratory testing
Based on the outcome, it is determined whether you meet the requirements of BRL 2022. If successful, you will be awarded the KOMO certificate. After certification, your quality system - as defined in the Internal Quality Control (IQC/IKB) scheme — is monitored regularly. This ensures continued compliance. Your customers can rely on your product to deliver what matters most: consistent quality.
