Description

ISO 27001 is the international standard for information security. To gain insight into the structure and content of this standard, as well as the requirements it sets for implementing and working with an Information Security Management System (ISMS), Kiwa Training & Development developed the English-language e-learning ‘ISO 27001:2022 Information security, cybersecurity and privacy protection’.  

The e-learning

The e-learning is structured according to ISO 27001:2022 and consists of four parts.

    Basic principles

    This section explains the definitions and concepts needed to understand the core of ISO 27001:2022 and information security management.

    Strategy

    This section introduces the first part of the standard and describes the foundation for implementing an information security management system.

    Implementation

    This section covers the core of ISO 27001:2022. It includes most of the process, product and service related requirements of the standard.

    Evaluation and improvement

    This section describes the methods and expectations related to the continuous improvement of the management system.

Course objective

After completing this e-learning, you’ll have a clear and structured understanding of ISO 27001:2022 and the functioning of an Information Security Management System (ISMS). You will understand the main requirements, principles and structure of the standard and be able to translate these into practical information security within an organization. This enables you to better recognize and interpret information security risks and to support the implementation or preparation of an ISO 27001 certification process.

This e-learning is intended for anyone who wants to gain insight into an information security management system and develop a better understanding of the requirements and intent of ISO 27001:2022. Are you about to start an ISO 27001 certification process? Then this e-learning is a good preparation.  

Entry requirements

The e-learning ‘ISO 27001:2022 Information security, cybersecurity and privacy protection’ is an intermediate vocational education level e-learning (Dutch: ‘mbo-niveau’). No specific prior education is required. Please note that the e-learning is in English.
