With ISO 27001, organizations can demonstrate that they take a systematic approach to information security and manage risks. But for customers, security is increasingly becoming a given. They also expect services to be reliable, predictable and consistently high in quality.
Sustainability plays an important role in the animal feed chain. For Denkavit, a global producer of young animal nutrition and feed ingredients, this is not a new development. The Dutch company has been working for many years on nutritional solutions that contribute to healthy animals and a future-proof livestock sector. By becoming the world's first animal feed organization to be certified by Kiwa according to the new GMP+ MI5.7 Feed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) standard, Denkavit is taking the next step in making the environmental impact of its products and processes transparent and demonstrable.
In recent years, NIS2 has mainly been about awareness, impact analyses and preparations. The phase has now begun in which organizations must not only make plans, but above all demonstrate that they’re actually implementing them. The question is no longer: ‘Do we need to do something with NIS2?’ but: ‘Can we demonstrate that we are managing our cyber risks?’.
At the request of Dutch drinking water company Vitens, Kiwa conducted an energy and decarbonization scan for Spannenburg, the largest drinking water production site in the Netherlands. The scan provides insight into Spannenburg’s energy consumption and explores possible measures to make the site more sustainable. The results provide building blocks for further steps towards reducing CO2 emissions.
