CCV quality mark Incident Response

With the CCV Incident Response quality mark, you demonstrate that your organization is ready to act quickly and professionally in the event of cyber incidents. The quality mark shows that you meet strict quality requirements regarding speed, expertise and recovery. Kiwa is accredited by the Dutch Centre for Crime Prevention and Safety (Centrum voor Criminaliteitspreventie en Veiligheid, CCV) to certify this quality mark and supports organizations with a careful and transparent Incident Response certification process.

Incident Response certification scheme

To provide assurance about the quality of services for both providers and customers of incident response, the CCV has developed the Incident Response certification scheme. This scheme was created to make the professionalism of service providers measurable and to establish a uniform standard for incident response. It includes the preparation of an Incident Response audit report and the execution of an initial Incident Response audit. The scope of the certification scheme covers the execution of incident response services, including reporting.

The certification scheme includes two scopes:

  • Incident Response (basic): availability during office hours
  • Incident Response 24/7: continuous availability, also for new customers without a contract

Certified service providers meet requirements in areas such as:

  • Response time
  • Triage and analysis
  • Communication
  • Security and recovery
  • Reporting
  • Quality and personnel

Purpose and added value of the quality mark

The CCV Incident Response quality mark provides both service providers and their clients with assurance about the quality of incident response. With this mark, you can be confident that the service provider:

  • Responds quickly and adequately, even in acute situations
  • Works according to a structured process, from triage to final reporting
  • Provides advice on recovery, communication and legal follow-up steps
  • Employs skilled professionals for a safe and effective approach

The Incident Response certification scheme (Dutch) was published by the CCV on 4 August 2025. From December 2025, Kiwa offers the Incident Response quality mark in accordance with the license agreement.

 

Certification process with Kiwa

    Application and consultation

    Contact us to discuss your interest in the Incident Response quality mark. Kiwa collects information about your organization and its needs.

    Proposal and agreement

    Based on the consultation, you will receive a tailor-made proposal including scope, planning and costs. Once approved, the process begins.

    Pre-audit (optional)

    A pre-audit identifies potential gaps in your management system and provides recommendations before the formal audit.

    Certification audit

    During the external CCV Incident Response audit, Kiwa verifies whether your system meets the quality mark’s requirements, including your management system, core processes and incident response records.

    Certification decision

    After successful completion of the audit, the certification committee reviews the results. Upon approval, you receive the CCV Incident Response certificate, valid as long as annual follow-up audits are conducted.

    Follow-up audits

    Kiwa performs annual follow-up audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Combined audit

Organizations that hold multiple certificates often wish to be audited for several standards at once. This allows them to organize their certification process more efficiently (faster, smarter and more effectively) without compromising quality or reliability. The CCV Incident Response quality mark can easily be combined with certification for ISO 27001 (Information Security Management).
