What is a cookie?
What types of cookies do we use?
Kiwa uses two types of cookies: session cookies (functional cookies) and Google Analytics cookies (non-functional cookies).
Session cookies are functional cookies: cookies that are essential to make this website function properly. These cookies e.g. make sure the information you enter into a contact form can actually be sent. Session cookies will be automatically removed as soon as you close your web browser.
Google Analytics cookies
Google Analytics-cookies are non-functional cookies - they are not essential to make this website function properly.
The U.S. company Google places cookies as a part of their Analytics service. We use this service to anonymously monitor and make reports about how visitors use our website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is under a legal obligation to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence on this. We have not granted Google permission to use the analytics data obtained for other Google services.
The data collected by Google will be anonymised as much as possible. The data are transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google states to adhere to the Safe Harbor principles and has joined the Safe Harbor programme of the American Department for Trade. This means that the processing of personal data is adequately protected.
