For which project phases does Kiwa PI Berlin provide services?

Kiwa PI Berlin provides consulting and engineering services for all project phases, from Ready-to-Build (RTB) status through to asset decommissioning.

Are Kiwa PI Berlin’s laboratories accredited?

Yes. All three Kiwa PI Berlin laboratories, located in Berlin (Germany), Suzhou (China) and Ahmedabad (India), are accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.

Does Kiwa PI Berlin provide factory audit services for inverters, mounting structures and battery systems?

Yes. Kiwa PI Berlin conducts factory audits and oversees the manufacturing and installation processes of these components. We also witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and support supply agreement negotiations.

Does Kiwa PI Berlin have mobile equipment for on-site module testing?

Yes. Kiwa PI Berlin can perform high-volume on-site testing using mobile equipment, including infrared thermography, electroluminescence (EL) inspections, visual inspections, nameplate power measurements and insulation resistance testing.

What types of Technical Due Diligence (TDD) services does Kiwa PI Berlin provide?

Kiwa PI Berlin provides Technical Due Diligence (TDD) services at different project stages, including before financial close, after Provisional Acceptance (PAC), at Final Acceptance (FAC), during mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, and for refinancing processes.

Which PV module technologies does Kiwa PI Berlin audit?

Kiwa PI Berlin audits all commercially available PV module technologies, including PERC, bifacial, HJT, CdTe, a-Si, PERT, TOPCon and CIGS, as well as p-type and n-type technologies, among others.
