Our CSR Policy

Our actions are aimed at guiding society toward sustainable development, promoting energy efficiency through Certifications-adopted by all types of organizations-and ensuring the safety of the food we put on the table every day. We protect consumer safety with preventive checks on products, through testing and inspection services carried out by competent and constantly updated personnel.

Two general principles

To achieve its social responsibility goals, Kiwa has developed its CSR strategy around two general principles:

By 2025, Kiwa locations around the world must achieve Certification in accordance with Level 3 of the CSR Performance Ladder.
Kiwa offices that have already achieved and obtained Level 3 Certification are asked to choose and elaborate on at least 2 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be developed and put into practice in the local strategy.

As Kiwa Italy, we have chosen to adhere to the following two SDGs:
No. 5 - Gender Equality
No. 8 - Decent work and economic growth.
In fact, our CSR policy is consistent with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, defined in the 2030 Agenda to contribute to global development in a responsible and sustainable way.

Three pillars

Our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, is based on three important pillars:

Reducing CO2 emissions
Carbon footprint (literally, “carbon footprint”) is a parameter that is used to estimate the greenhouse gas emissions caused by an organization and is also an important indicator in the CSR Performance Ladder. Our goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of each Kiwa location by optimizing energy consumption (preferably obtained from sustainable sources), reducing waste generated and paper use.

Improving employee safety, health and satisfaction.
Human resources occupy an important place in the Kiwa Group's priorities. We therefore aim to support and improve the well-being of Kiwa colleagues by investing in improving working conditions and personal development.

The international survey conducted on employee satisfaction is one of the most important indicators for us.

Broadening the impact of our services on Sustainability.
As Kiwa we are working hard to expand the portfolio of sustainable services: a wide range of testing, certification and inspection activities that help reduce the impact of organizations on the environment.
