Our Commitment at Kiwa Italy
In Kiwa Italy, our commitment is embodied in daily actions that contribute to the achievement of the goals defined in our CSR strategy.
1) Reducing plastic consumption within our locations.
All Kiwa Italia offices have been equipped with water dispensers; this has allowed us to:
- reduce by 2/3 the amount of plastic bottles used
- reduce the amount of CO2 resulting from the production and consumption of plastic material
- reduce the waste of water due to the habit of throwing away bottles that are not completely finished
- In addition, we have provided each employee with a personalized water bottle for using the water dispensers inside our locations.
2) We use 100% Green energy.
Regarding energy consumption, we are committed to implementing policies to support the energy transition; in fact, to date, in Kiwa offices throughout Italy, the energy used is 100% green.
In addition, with regard to mobility, we are making our car fleet increasingly sustainable.
The combination of these actions has already produced concrete results among which, in recent years, we have been able to see the decline in the ratio of energy consumption to turnover, although the business is constantly growing.
3) Reduction in paper consumption
We have recorded a 30 percent reduction in paper consumption in our offices from 2019 to the present: a result achieved thanks to a series of targeted initiatives that, over time, have become an integral part of our daily routine.
A key aspect of our commitment to Sustainability is the adoption of eco-friendly practices in printed materials as well. We use only FSC-certified paper from responsibly and sustainably managed forests in the production of our brochures.
Moreover, this significant reduction in paper consumption has been made possible not only through careful resource control, but also through our commitment to the digital transition in recent years. Investments in digital technologies and optimized processes have contributed significantly to decreasing the habit of paper use, ensuring our commitment to sustainable solutions.
Our initiatives and commitment have resulted in the achievement in April 2019 of CSR Performance Ladder Level 3 Certification, thanks to the 'implementation of an internationally recognized and adopted management system.
