Accelerated Corrosion Testing
The Kiwa laboratory is equipped with several pieces of equipment by means of which accelerated corrosion, climatic conditioning, thermal shock, and ultraviolet aging tests can be performed. The tests make it possible to test painted specimens, or those with other surface coatings, with respect to their resistance to corrosion, to any changes in temperature, more or less sudden, and to solar radiation.

The services of the Kiwa testing laboratory, accredited LAB No. 0001 by ACCREDIA, an Italian accreditation body, are aimed at all companies in the manufacturing industry that aim to achieve conformity assessment of their product by verifying certain chemical, metallurgical and mechanical characteristics of the product itself.
Kiwa Italia Laboratory can perform accelerated corrosion tests in:
- neutral salt spray (NSS),
salt-acetic fog (AASS)
cupro-saline-acetic fog (CASS),
according to current regulations or customer specifications.
It is also able to perform surface deterioration assessment by UV exposure and climate chamber conditioning.
