Kiwa Safe Together
Kiwa Safe Together is Kiwa’s global health and safety program, designed to embed a consistent, proactive safety culture across all operations. It reinforces Kiwa’s commitment to ensuring that every employee and partner returns home safely, every day.
The program provides a clear framework that empowers individuals, strengthens risk awareness, and promotes shared responsibility for safe working practices at the local level and around the world.
Within the United States, each of the Kiwa companies fine-tune the Safe Together program to provide specific practices tailored to further support worker safety based on project site conditions and client requirements.
Core Principles of Safe Together
- Power to Stop
Every employee has the authority and responsibility to stop work if it cannot be performed safely, without fear of negative consequences, ensuring safety always takes precedence. - Last-Minute Risk Assessment (LMRA)
Teams are encouraged to pause before every task to identify and evaluate risks in real time which supports informed, safe decision-making on location. - Life-Saving Rules
A defined set of global safety behaviors focused on preventing serious incidents, to include; being fit for work; driving safely; aligning with others on-site; staying out of the line of fire; and taking action to mitigate risk.
