Short vacancy description

This position represents a unique opportunity to join a major player in the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) industry within the food / feed sector. As the (Senior) Key Account Manager / Business Developer, you will manage new and existing relationships with international key accounts in the food sectors whole chain, from producers to retailers.

 

By drawing on your collaborative working relationships and deep business understanding, you will be responsible for developing international key accounts. The role offers the prospect of working in a dynamic multi-functional team environment, within a fast paced and constantly changing industry. You will be responsible for developing the sales relationships together with local Kiwa offices throughout Europe. This international role will have its focus in The Netherlands, West and Northern Europe so will involve travelling.

The position

In this role, you will report to the Head of the Food, Feed and Farming (FFF) Business Sector and your key tasks will include the following:

  • Develop and grow strong trust based relationships with key accounts decision makers on all organizational levels
  • Create an in-depth analytical plan of your key accounts to identify the potential for future growth
  • Be responsible for sales growth and effective budget management
  • Design and deliver plans to optimize the value of quality assurance within organizations, including making recommendations to key accounts on how to develop quality assurance in their organizations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local country managers with the goal of developing and growing sales
  • Lead and motivate the international sales team to achieve targets
Your professional background
  • Solid key account management experience within the food sector (minimum 5 years)
  • Alternatively, experience within purchasing or quality assurance with a leading food producer or retailer
  • International working experience
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to proactively use market trends to identify business opportunities
  • Proven ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • Leadership potential and capabilities
  • A proven track record of delivering outstanding business results and exceeding targets
  • A clear understanding of how to execute winning plans with key accounts

Your personality

For this position, we are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills, a problem solving mentality and a proactive mindset. Above all, you have a real passion for achieving winning result as part of a team. You must be fluent in English and preferably a second European language, being German, French, Spanish and Italian.
