Improvements
Easier to read, faster insight: introducing our new audit summary report
At Kiwa, we continuously listen to customer feedback and look for ways to improve our services. One topic that was raised by several customers was the length and complexity of final audit reports. While these reports contain valuable information, finding the key conclusions can sometimes be time-consuming. To address this feedback, we are replacing the Final audit report with a new Audit summary report.
What is changing?
Starting in November 2026, the traditional Final Audit Report will be replaced by a concise and customer-focused summary report. Instead of a report that may exceed 150 pages, customers will receive a compact report of approximately 12 pages that highlights the information that matters most.
The new report provides:
- The status of findings from previous audits
- An overview of changes since the last audit
- The overall conclusion for each audit topic
- A clear summary of the audit results
- The certification recommendation resulting from the audit
This new structure makes the report easier to navigate and enables customers to quickly understand the audit outcome and key observations.
What remains unchanged?
While the report layout is changing, the quality and thoroughness of the audit process remain exactly the same. All audit activities, assessments, evidence reviews, and documentation will continue to be performed in full compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements, including the requirements of the Dutch Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) and the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA). The complete audit trail remains available and fully documented as required.
What can customers expect?
- During the closing meeting, customers will continue to receive the non-conformity overview report, unchanged from the current process.
- Within 15 working days after the audit, customers will receive the new Audit summary report.
- The CAPA Report and the management of nonconformities remain unchanged.
Customers participating in audits up from November 2026 will receive additional information and guidance regarding the new report format.
Designed with our customers in mind
The new Audit Summary Report is part of our ongoing effort to make certification more transparent, efficient and customer friendly. By focusing on the information that customers need most, we aim to provide a clearer, more practical audit outcome while maintaining the highest standards of audit quality and compliance.
Less paperwork, more insight.
