Kiwa certificates help organizations, regulators, businesses, and consumers make informed decisions. If you receive a certificate claiming to have been issued by Kiwa, you can check whether the certificate details correspond with Kiwa's official records.

Counterfeit certificates, altered documents, and unauthorized use of the Kiwa name or logo may occasionally appear in the market. Such documents may misrepresent an organization's certification status and should not be relied upon without verification.

We therefore recommend checking a Kiwa certificate before using it as evidence for purchasing, contracting, regulatory, or other business decisions.

Use the Kiwa Certificate Finder to search for a certificate using the available certificate or certificate-holder details.

The Certificate Finder contains certificate information published through Kiwa's global certification system. Coverage may vary because not all certificates issued by every Kiwa entity or certification scheme are currently included in the public database.

If you cannot find a certificate, this does not automatically mean that it is invalid or fraudulent. Please contact the Kiwa entity identified on the document for further verification.

Where available, the Certificate Finder may show:

• the certificate holder;
• the certificate number;
• the applicable standard or certification scheme;
• the current published certification status;
• the scope or certified product information; and
• a copy of the certificate.

Check the document carefully

When reviewing a certificate, check whether:

• the company name and address correspond with the organization presenting the certificate;
• the certificate number matches the number shown in the Certificate Finder;
• the standard, scheme, and scope correspond with the certification being claimed;
• the certificate status and validity information are consistent; and
• the document identifies an official Kiwa legal entity and uses a genuine Kiwa website domain.

A certificate should always be considered together with its stated scope, status, and any conditions shown in the official record.

Report suspected misuse or fraud

Please contact Kiwa if you encounter: 

• a certificate that appears to have been altered or falsified;
• unauthorized use of the Kiwa name, logo, or certification mark;
• a website or advertisement that appears to misrepresent certification status;
• a document that cannot be matched with Kiwa's records; or
• any other potentially misleading certification claim.

Please include, where possible:

• a copy of the document or a screenshot;
• the certificate number;
• the name of the organization concerned;
• the website or source where the document was found; and
• your contact details.

Kiwa will review the available information and advise whether the document or claim can be confirmed based on its records.
