Enhancing certification and sustainability expertise in Germany with PÜG

PÜG Prüf- und Überwachungsgesellschaft has become part of the Kiwa Group following the signing of the relevant agreements on 15 April 2026, in Hamburg, by Klaus Suhm, shareholder of PÜG, together with the Management Team of Kiwa Germany.

Founded in 1998 as a DAkkS-accredited certification body, PÜG has developed over more than 25 years into an established company in the field of certification and validation of numerous management systems and personnel certifications, as well as services related to waste disposal and sustainability.

The integration of PÜG into the Kiwa Group further expands Kiwa’s position in the German market and further expands its expertise in Business Assurance and Sustainability. The organization will expand Kiwa’s certification and sustainability capabilities and further enhance support for customers operating in increasingly regulated and sustainability-focused markets.

Expanding management systems certification in Denmark with Valcert

Valcert has joined Kiwa, strengthening Kiwa Denmark’s position in the Danish market for management systems certification.

Valcert is recognized for its technical expertise and close customer engagement. The company’s approach complements Kiwa’s ambition to be the preferred partner for organizations working strategically with quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Both organizations share a vision of creating value through trust and transparency. This collaboration represents a natural next step in the organizations’ joint growth journey.

The integration of Valcert into Kiwa Denmark brings together two organizations with a shared foundation of expertise, impartiality, and close customer engagement. Valcert will continue its activities in Denmark as an integrated part of Kiwa, while customers will continue to work with the same specialists they know and trust.

Advancing medical devices expertise in Finland with Sertio

Sertio, a Finnish Notified Body designated under the EU Regulation on in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR) has joined Kiwa Finland. Sertio provides conformity assessment services in accordance with the EU IVDR regulatory framework.

The development is strategically significant for both Kiwa Finland and the wider Kiwa Group. Sertio strengthens Kiwa’s position in conformity assessment for medical and healthcare devices and deepens the Group’s regulatory and IVDR expertise as a Notified Body.

Sertio brings IVDR accreditation and deep expertise in a highly regulated industry, enabling Kiwa to provide even more comprehensive services for customers in Finland and internationally.

Expanding sustainability expertise in the Baltics with Vesta Consulting

Vesta Consulting, a leading advisory company for sustainable buildings in the Baltic region, has joined the Kiwa Group. This development marks a further milestone in Kiwa’s commitment to a safer and more sustainable world and ensures the growth of its sustainability services across the Baltics. Vesta brings expertise in building certification, environmental impact studies, ESG consulting, and digital solutions, complementing Kiwa’s global Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) services.

Creating a stronger Northern European presence

With the addition of PÜG, Valcert, Sertio, and Vesta Consulting, Kiwa further strengthens its position across Europe and particularly within its Northern European region, including the Nordics, Baltics, and Germany.

The combined capabilities enhance Kiwa’s ability to support customers with certification, conformity assessment, sustainability, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance services across a wide range of industries.

By combining local expertise with Kiwa’s international network, the Group continues to build a stronger foundation for sustainable growth, innovation, and long-term customer support across Europe
