Electrical energy consumption for EPG

Since 2008, the EPN (Energy Performance Norm) describes a method how to measure the electrical, auxiliary energy consumption for central heating boilers. A reduction of the EPC (Energy Performance Coefficient) can be determined with the boiler-dependent constants that results from this measurement method. For the current generation of boilers a total EPC reduction of approximately 5% can be achieved.
In 2012, the EPN has been replaced by the EPG (Energy Performance for Buildings). In the EPG a measurement method that allows for a reduction of the Energy Performance Coefficient based om electrical, auxiliary energy consumption measurements is described as well.

Manufacturers and suppliers in the Dutch market.

Determining the electrical, auxiliary energy consumption is not mandatory by law on the Dutch market, but it is a good opportunity to determine the performance of your product. The electrical, auxiliary energy consumption of your product plays a huge role on the market, since it is a part of the Ecodesign. Show your customers that you are forward thinking and that you want to offer them the best products possible. Additionally determining the energy consumption will produce a considerable EPC reduction.

In response to your requests and demands we will send you a quote for the testing of your product. The results of this test and the associated calculations are recorded in a test report. An explanation for this test report will also be provided.
