With this new accreditation, Kiwa Certification (IVAC Instituto de Certificación SL) is positioned as a leader among Spanish certification companies; in fact, it is the only non-multinational certification company that has obtained this accreditation from the Ministry of Defence.

PECAL certification is granted by the Ministry of Defense; IVAC acts as a second party audit entity.

The audit report issued by Kiwa Certification (IVAC Instituto de Certificación SL) is used by the competent body to make the certification decision.

In any case, in the first certification cycle (three years), the audits are carried out by the DGAM; it is from the fourth year when accredited certification entities can intervene.
