The objective of the UNE 66102:2019 standard and the EU 165/2014 legislation is to improve road safety, guarantee competitiveness in European markets and prevent the manipulation of digital tachographs. All newly registered vehicles over 3.5 tonnes used for commercial purposes must be equipped with the new generation of smart tachographs.
