Controlatom's missions include examining shipping, packaging, loading and unloading procedures, as well as the transport of radioactive materials. They can also take charge of checking that the regulations in force for the transport of radioactive substances are correctly applied.
Controlatom offers you the following services in this field:
- Identification of goods to be transported
- Advice and support in choosing the equipment to be used and in drafting procedures
- Support and/or control of the correct application of current regulatory requirements to all aspects of transport: packaging, loading, transport and, finally, unloading.
- Training of personnel involved in transport
- Helping to draw up and apply emergency procedures in the event of accidents or incidents, paying particular attention to measures to prevent accidents/incidents.
- Assistance in drawing up and/or checking the documents required for transport.
