Meet Carsten.
International Business Development Manager, Construction and Infrastructure
Carsten Rieck is an International Business Development Manager for Construction and Infrastructure at Kiwa. With extensive experience in auditing, laboratory management, engineering, and project management, he is passionate about helping businesses ensure quality, meet regulatory requirements, and implement sustainable practices.
Carsten has authored numerous technical publications, both in German and English, reflecting his expertise over the years, although his focus has shifted with his current role in business development. Prior to this role, Carsten spent over 20 years at Kiwa in various capacities: as an auditor traveling internationally for cement and concrete projects, laboratory manager in Berlin, team leader for the engineering team, and project manager for major infrastructure projects including Berlin Airport (over 2 million m³ of concrete), quality assurance of eight cooling towers, and the Emscher sewage system.
Beyond his business development work, Carsten represents Kiwa as a founding member of the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) and is one of five experts on Alkali-Silica-Reaction in Germany, appointed by the Federal Highway and Transport Research Institute (BASt).
