Irene Pro Basic provides powerful functionality for capacity calculations. It calculates the demand and supply, resulting pressure drop, flow direction, velocities and flow rates in your pipeline network. Therefore, Irene Pro is an very useful tool for the design, construction and management of gas networks and for optimal asset management.
With the functionality of Irene Pro Basic, you already have extensive calculation capabilities for small networks as well as complete supply areas with different pressure levels and sub-networks. Irene Pro supports calculations with various types of gases, such as biogas, green gas, hydrogen and CO₂. Irene Pro Basic provides you with comprehensive insights, such as gas flow direction, transport speed and identifying areas with the highest pressure drop.
With Irene Pro Green Plus, the user can calculate profiles while considering the buffer capacity of the network. This is important for analyzing the possibilities of connecting green gas suppliers. Additionally, consumption profiles are taken into account. Using the profiles, the moments with the lowest gas demand can be analyzed. Irene Pro Green Plus can automatically determine, for each time of the week, the outdoor temperature at which the supplier can no longer sell their gas.
With the Irene Pro CML module, the supply reliability of a gas network (i.e., ‘customer minutes lost’) can be determined. The consequences of three types of risks can be analyzed: climate, pipeline failure and station failure.
The Irene Pro Dsigner module is developed for calculating optimal pipe diameters. ‘Optimal’ refers to the minimum diameters that can provide sufficient pressure. This can be for individual pipelines in an existing network or for a completely new network yet to be constructed. This module is also suitable for replacement projects.
Irene Pro Operations displays the current situation in the network, taking into account work plans and the current temperature. The current temperature is automatically retrieved from the nearest weather station. It is also possible to simulate future situations based on submitted work plans and a chosen outdoor temperature.
