Primara member of the Kiwa Group

The Primara Test- und Zertifizier-GmbH in Kaufbeuren near Munich is now owned by the Kiwa Group in Germany. The takeover benefits Kiwa customers worldwide.

Primara Test- und Zertifizier-GmbH specializes in testing and certifying industrial products with a focus on renewable energy, electromobility and medical technology. Primara’s expertise will benefit Kiwa customers worldwide, particularly in the international Energy and related market segments.

Lots of capabilities added to Kiwa’s portfolio

Primara adds a wealth of testing and certification capabilities and the expertise that comes with it to Kiwa’s portfolio.

The company covers a DakkS accredited testing laboratory for equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, the safety of electrical and electronic equipment, environmental simulation testing and grid integration of distributed generation units, an IEC CB test laboratory for IT and MEAS and an IECEx test laboratory for explosion protection.

Furthermore, the new Kiwa location is a functional electrical and electronic equipment certifying body, it offers grid integration and ancillary unit system services, components and facilities, GS Certifications, Type Approved Certifications, Fit for Use Certifications, Notified Body Explosion Protection, is an IEC CB Certification Body for IT and MEAS, and IECEx Certification Body (Explosion Protection).

The Kaufbeuren location is a valuable addition to Kiwa Germany’s network of testing and certification locations throughout Germany, next to Augsburg, Munich and Nuremberg, which each cover various other product areas. As said, Kiwa customers in other European countries and on a global scale will also benefit from the newly-added expertise Kiwa can now offer.
