What you need to know
The CO2 performance ladder is an instrument and certification scheme that can be used in government contracts to stimulate CO2 reductions in the construction sector. By integrating the ladder into government contracts, contracting authorities can help reduce CO2 emissions from the construction sector.
As a contractor, you significantly increase your chances of being awarded the contract if you are certified as a company. There are 5 ladder levels. The higher you go on the ladder, the more your quotation price will be fictionally reduced.
