Kiwa certifies Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport for COVID-19 prevention measures

Kiwa Turkey has certified Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport according to the new ISO/PAS 45005: 2020 standard regarding COVID-19 prevention measures.

With the COVID-19 outbreak, country authorities, local standardization organizations and international certification bodies have published guidelines, standards and certification criteria for COVID-19 measures. ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, has used these guidelines, standards and criteria’s for the publication of the "ISO/PAS 45005:2020 Occupational health and safety management — General guidelines for safe working during the COVID-19 pandemic" standard in December 2020.

The standard provides guidance on how to manage COVID-19 risks to protect work-related health, safety and well-being. It also provides guidance how to protect all kinds of employees and visitors. The ISO/PAS 45005:2020 standard is applicable to organizations of all sizes and industries.

Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, one of the Top 10 airports in Europe according to the World Airport Traffic Dataset report 2020, is the first location that has been certified for ISO/PAS 45005:2020 by Kiwa Turkey.
