Kiwa announces the addition of four European companies to its group—PÜG Prüf- und Überwachungsgesellschaft mbH, Valcert, Sertio, and Vesta Consulting—marking an important step in its strategy to strengthen its presence across Europe, with a particular focus on Northern Europe, including the Nordics, Baltics, and Germany.

During the Korea – German Water Industry Cooperation Seminar at the Novotel München Messe, held alongside the International Trade Fair for Wastewater Technology (IFAT), Kiwa and the Korea Institute for Water Technology Certification (KWTC) formalized their long-standing collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Kiwa has been accredited by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA) to carry out assessments in accordance with the new European Drinking Water Directive (EU) 2020/2184. Kiwa is the second European conformity assessment body to take this important first step towards formal notification through accreditation by a national authority. This accreditation already enables Kiwa to assess materials and products that come into contact with drinking water according to the new European hygiene requirements.
