The main standard is the EN 50131-3 for wired devices and for wireless devices the additional standard EN 50131-5-3 is required. The main standard includes besides requirements also functional tests and tests based on the EMC standard EN 50130-4 and the environmental standard EN 50130-5.

The EN 50131-3 includes four security grades and four environmental classes, covering applications for indoor and outdoor locations.

Only with a certificate it can be proved that the control panel, keypad and/or key fob and expanders is compliant to the standard. Normally a certificate will be issued after the testing has been successfully completed. A certificate for this product provides you market access for the European market.
